What I was Thinking When Tom's Woman Called During Dinner

Negative thoughts fill my head every time I think of Tom's woman in New York. I hate her. I know that for a fact. Why can she not leave a married couple alone? And the fact that she has the nerve to call during dinner. Inside I feel complete anger and frustration. I want to yell and scream at Tom, I want to remind him that we have a life together, that we have a daughter and this woman in New York does not even care about his personal life. But we have guests. I must remain calm in front of Jordan and Nicky I think. Oh, what an embarrassment it would be to argue so much in front of guests at dinner! It is bad enough that Tom is off talking to his lady on the phone, while the guests are sitting at the table eavesdropping. This is why I cannot get to angry right now; for the sake of our guests, and the sake of our pride. I wonder what she is like. Is she some beautiful woman that has a gorgeous house and comes from a wealthy family with the most glorious riches? Or did Tom go for someone different, perhaps a looser woman who comes from a lower class of life? Oh, how sick these thoughts make me. What an embarrassment to our family. I am sorry for our guests, I wish things were different. I know I should have stayed with someone who made me happy all of the time, someone who would not cheat on me. Why must Tom have another woman, am I not good enough?
